L'opinion des expertsL'opinion de Parker et Jancis Robinson

I tasted the 2017 Polígonos San Pablo Malbec to be able to give you some reference of a warmer year in a cool place like San Pablo, which manages to keep the poise and freshness, and the wine feels more like a Malbec from a cool climate than from a warmer year. The Polígonos range ferments and mature in oak, and as they harvested much earlier, they were able to keep the freshness, herbal and citrusy, with less body and a sharper palate. This is quite impressive, showing the wild side of the mountain that is very close to the vineyards. 8,000 bottles were filled in February 2018.

Very dark. Much more peppery on the nose than the Q Malbec. Tight, zesty and utterly fresh but suprisingly soft in texture, less rocky. Less concentrated but super fresh. More spice than fruit. Not easy to see it is Malbec. Dark and so fresh and very peppery. Bone-dry rocky finish. More rock than fruit. A bit leaner in the mouth than the other three Poligonos Malbecs in this vintage.
