The 2019 Dominio de Anza Selección de Parcelas showcases the style of the wines from Diego Magaña in Bierzo, with elegance, perfume and refinement, moving away from the rustic wines from the region from yesteryear. The wines are very floral and have great purity and focus, this is clean, expressive and open, with lots of violets and a medium-bodied palate with great balance and very fine and elegant tannins. For Mencía, Diego thinks the wine is defined by the day you pick the grapes. I think he got it right for this wine, which is vibrant and has superb freshness. I love it. 4,500 bottles produced.
